Today I picked up the bike from the shop. I toyed around with the idea of buying some clip on aerobars but the guy who rang me up at the counter for the maintenance suggested I wouldn’t have enough time to get used to the position, so I saved myself the $130. Taking it out for a test drive after I finished with some errands with my fire company was pretty exciting. The new chain made absolutely no noise and made me realize I really need to do more regular maintenance on it. I guess it’s about time I start learning how to do more than just fill and change the tires.
Here’s a question for you all – SADDLE BAGS. Do you leave it on for the race in case of a flat or take it off to save some weight and make the ride more comfortable? What would you suggest for me? Answer in the comments below!
